Busy Kids

Just wanted to throw out a quick update. The last week has been pretty crazy! Hanah has her very first volleyball game today. She's very excited. They play in Argonia. I'll make sure to take some pictures and post them on here as soon as I can. Halie is doing great. Still pushing hard at soccer. She's had a couple of issues with her blood sugar lately. I hope to get those figured out next week. Then there is Cody Man. He's constantly going. Either outside, at a friend's house or always begging to play the play station. (Which I successfully hid for a week, then got it out of the cabinet to move something and forgot to put it back...) Ms. Sadie is feeling much better! We had to change her breathing treatment medicine because she had a reaction to it. We go back on Monday for another chest x-ray and find out what's next. I'll let you all know asap!!

A Fun Filled Labor Day Weekend

We always look forward to Labor Day weekend. Craig usually gets off work early on Friday and we have him for 3 days!!! It has become a tradition the last few years for Elaine (Craig's mom) to rent Trent's (my brother-in-law) water slide and have a party. This year it was on Sunday.

Cody is a sucker for anything water!

I wasn't able to get any pictures of Halie on the slide, because...well...she just wouldn't stand still long enough for me to take a picture! =) As usual, the day ended with a rousing game of football. The kids had a great time. Except for Ms. Sadie. She woke up sick Sunday morning all stopped up and just not feeling good. We ended up taking her to the doctor Monday morning. She is on breathing treatments and an antibiotic now. Feeling much better!

Have a great day!!

Well, it's finally here. The first day of school. Look how excited everyone is! They were all up by 7 and completely ready by 7:30. I finally broke down and took them at 7:45. Every year we get a little anxious and end up being the first ones there. Not this year though. We went with the rush of everyone else.

Mr. Cody is in 2nd grade this year. His teacher is Mrs. Baalman. She's awesome! He will be making his first communion in April. He's already excited for that! His best friend Peyton gets to sit at his table this year too (until they get in trouble for talking that is).

Halie was embarrassed to have her picture taken. Notice that she has no glasses though. She got contacts! Yeah Halie!! We will see how well she does with them this year. Her 3rd grade teacher is Mrs. Allen.

And here is my baby. This really made me tear up. Hanah is in 6th grade. Her last year at St. Joseph. Her last year in grade school. She's also playing volleyball this year.

Now, onto the soccer pictures that I promised. This is also Hanah's last year playing soccer. I'm sure next year will be full of cheerleading, volleyball, basketball and track!

Lucky Hanah has me to coach her this year! So far we are having a great season!

And her is my little athlete Halie. She loves anything sports! She gets that from her dad. Her and Cody are on the same team.

And little Cody man. He is a lot of fun to watch!! He's all over the field and most of the time on the ground. He plays so hard and gives his all. He's such a good little guy.
Have a great day everyone!

The Last Day of Thier Summer

Today is the day! The last day of summer for the munchkins. They started off not wanting to get out of bed (neither did mommy) and proceeded right to what they do best. Fighting!! No one wanted to clean their room. Everyone wanted to blame something on someone else. And mommy wanted to silently slip out the door and not return until after daddy got home from work. Oh sweet sweet wishes.....

Everyone has soccer tonight. I hope to post pictures sometime this week. They are having a blast playing. Cody is making cupcakes to take to his team. I'll take some pictures and let you know how they turn out. ;) Have a great day everyone!

Our Princess Has A New Ride

Sadie has officially frown out of her carrier and into a convertible car seat. This thing (especially for what I paid for it) should last her until she is 8! That's awesome. I shouldn't ever have to buy another one! She's still trying to get used to it, but loves sittting more upright. Here are a couple pictures of her enjoying it.

So last night had an interesting twist to it. There is a little boy that moved into our neighborhood a couple of months ago named Colby. For some unknown reason him and Cody don't mesh well. He has ridden his bike to our house just to bite or hit Cody and then go back home. Well, last night must have been the last straw for Cody. According to Cody, this little boy was riding his bike on the street and calling Cody stupid. Cody told him to stop but he wouldn't listen. So what does a little Jones boy do in a situation like this?? They throw a rock at them of course! WHAT!?!? As a disclaimer I did not witness any of these actions. Pretty soon this boy and his grandpa came walking down the street to our house. His grandpa showed me Colby's arm and said Cody did it. I found Cody and he admitted it and had to apologize. During that time Cody didn't get to mention that Colby had been calling him stupid. Now he's grounded for 1 week. The more I think and mull this over I'm wondering if a week is too long of a punishment. Was Cody just defending himself? I want him to know that it's okay to stand up for himself, but don't throw rocks at people...please. Let me know what you think.
